application for your Consideration and recommend- -ation to the Directors with a view to my becoming. candidate for the Prison Service at Hongkong. I have previously served four years in the Colony. the capacity of Petty Officer in the Royal Navy.
I know intimately the "customs of the people, and can Converse in the Chinese language.
In 1908 I applied for entry into the bong kong Prison Service at the Victoria East. but I was informed hat
filled by selection from the Prison Service of England and Wales.
